40 Amp Fuses are not cheap!
The previous owner has fitted a 40 Amp blade fuse coming out of the main fuse box - I am unsure why, but there is a very strange problem.
Occasionally when you turn the ignition off to stop the engine the ignition light stays on really bright then zap! Blows the fuse, £2 a time!
Its done it twice today, once when cold just after starting and once a few minutes later when driving. The engine will keep running and starting normally but the ignition light is on all the time.
Needs further investigation but I think its either a short somewhere obscure or a short in the generator coils, needs investigation.
There is also a weird whine when you come off the power when driving - I think I have isolated where that is coming from, I thought it was a manifold vacuum leak requiring a new gasket, but there is a pipe coming off the manifold which I am led to believe used to power the vacuum wipers, just needs sealing I reckon.

Got to spend some time on the roof too - looks okay mostly, few little cracks but nothing to worry about, a good section of lino will fix it. Job for the spring.
